Day 01 Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar you will be met, assisted and transferred to the hotel / House Boat. The city of Srinagar is a gateway to some of the most scenic and beautiful places of the Indian subcontinent. It is the summer state capital ofJammu and Kashmir and is conSidered the pride of the magnificent valley of Kashmir. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake,. visiting floating and vegetable gardens etc. Also witness walnut woodcarving and papier-machie making demonstration. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 02 Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
This day after breakfast excursion to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 mts. above sea level. Gulmarg (58 kms from Srinagar) has some of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also enjoy the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is breathtaking. One can also make a short trek up to Khilangmarg, which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Or, enjoy a cable car ride which takes one to the highest point. Evening back to Srinagar. Overnight in Siinagar.
Day 03 Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar
This day after early breakfast excursion to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) via old part of Srinagar (110 kms from Srinagar). Drive through saffron fields, pine forest and along the Udder River. On arrival at Pahalgam visit the surging pastures of Baisaran, with huge meadows surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. Enjoy Hajan, a popular picnic spot, on the way to Chandanwari. Hajan is a popular shooting location for the Indian film industry. The hill station of Pahalgam has eight tiny villages in it. One of the villages is Mamal, which houses an ancient Shiva temple dating back to the 5th century. There are a number of hiking and trekking trails around Pahalgam. One can explore these places on horseback. Evening back to Srinagar. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 04 Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
This day after breakfast excursion to Sonamarg ( 83 kms from Srinagar). Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley, infused with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for an interesting trek to the higher altitude of Bisansar Lake. Afternoon back to Srinagar. Overnight in ~rinagar.
Day 05 Onward
This day after early breakfast sightseeing of Mughal Gardens, visit Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law ofJehangir in 1632 AD. and Shalimar Bagh (Abode oflove) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. Later you will be transferred to the airport to board a flight for onward destination and tour concludes.
