Day 01 Amritsar
On arrival at Amritsar airport / railway station and you will be met, assisted and transferred to the hotel. Amritsar - the land of the Golden Temple, literally meaning "holy pool of nectar" is the spiritual and cultural centre for'the Sikh Religion. Evening free for individual activities. Overnight in Amritsar.
Day 02 Amritsar
This day after breakfast proceed for city tour of Amritsar, visit Golden Temple, culturally the most significant shrine of Sikkhism. This important Sikh shrine attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal in Agra, and is the number one destination for non-resident Indians in the whole of India. Thereafter visit Jallianwalah Bagh which witnessed the massacre of thousands of innocent civilians by British army on 13th April 1919, and gave the Indian freedom movement an all together new dimension. Afternoon proceed to the Wagah Border (Located 30 kms) between India and Pakistan. At Wagah Border, witness the ceremonial changing of guard, the march-past followed by the singing of national anthem and other patriotic songs. Soldiers parading in full swing and the sight of India- Pakistan border from such close quarters will evoke a sense of nostalgia. Overnight in Amritsar.
Day 03 Amritsar - Dalhousie
This day after breakfast check out and drive to Dalhousie (190 kms). Dalhousie is built around five hills. The town is clothed in stately groves of deodar and oak, overlooking vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring and rivulets. Dalhousie still has a touch of the "Raj" with its colonial style buildings. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free for individual activities. Overnight in Dalhousie.
Day 04 Dalhousie
This day after breakfast proceed for half day excursion to Khajjiar (22 kms). Khajjiar is a small picturesque saucershaped plateau surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, earning it the title of Mini Switzerland. Afternoon back to Dalhousie. Evening visit local markets Gandhi and Subhash Chowk. Overnight in Dalhousie.
Day 05 Dalhousie - Dharamshala
This day after breakfast check out and drive to Dharamshala ( 170 kms). The hill town of Dharamshala sits on a narrow ridge line along the Dhauladhar range. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 06 Dharamshala
This day after breakfast proceed for sightseeing, visit Mcleodganj, a famous little town of Dharamshala also known as "Little Tibet". H.H. The Dalai Lama resides here. At the start of Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with variety of Tibetan handicrafts and at the end lies the Namgyal Monastery. Evening free for individual activities. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 07 Dalhousie -Pathankot
This day after breakfast drive to Pathankot railway station (located 98 kms) to board train to onward destination.
